Canned Food Drives
SPirit School Pride
Nothing is more important in the success of any of your events than keeping those you count on well informed.  If you are doing any sort of community outreach, such as a canned food drive, you must have the support of your teachers and staff in order to make the project successful.  This is a sample memo to send out to give an overview about the purpose of the food drive and the points system used to determine a class winner.  Remember to keep everything simple and to the point.
When doing a food drive its always a good idea to check with the facility where you will be making your donation to find out if they have a particular need.  Make modifications to this traditional school activity to meet the needs of your community.  You can use this tally sheet to help keep score of how each class is doing.

A fun twist is to have your leadership class in charge of keeping track of each homeroom class.  Make it their responsibility to keep track of the points for the teacher each day and to help encourage the class to do it’s very best.
